The Association of Educational Publishers (AEP), the nonprofit organization for the educational resource community, gave awards to 27 companies and organizations in recognition of their outstanding materials for both teachers and students. The winners, which included publishing houses, nonprofit organizations, and small start-up firms, were honored on June 5 for their exceptional and well-designed educational resources.

Honoring excellence and innovation in the education community, the AEP Awards program is the longest-running and most highly regarded recognition program in the industry. Three key principles-quality content, age appropriateness, and innovation-drove the judging criteria and evaluation process for selecting finalists and winners.

We are thrilled to see that so many stellar educational products continue to be created each year, and we're especially excited to provide this level of recognition to all of the finalists and winners, says Eric Hamilton, Assistant Director at the American Museum of Natural History and AEP Awards Committee Chair. The companies and organizations that develop these materials contribute to the academic and personal development of students at all levels, helping them grow into valuable members of society.

The AEP Awards program not only showcases the best learning resources, but also emphasizes the critical role of teachers in education. Therefore, several award categories focus exclusively on professional development materials.
