So, for school we have a project about what you think is really affecting teenagers. Such as teen pregnancy, smoking, obesity, etc. I chose to do my report on anorexic and bulimia. I was trying to make a point, by writing about how you start to lose your hair, your finger nails, and how your teeth start to rot or fall off. Well, I find it strange that every anorexic related photo on the internet somehow leads to people like Nicole Richie, Mary-Kate Olsen, Kate Moss, and gorgeous super models. All with a full head of beautiful long locks, perfect teeth, and nicely painted finger nails. Well, I m just wondering if the side effects of anorexia are true? Because those super models, and celebrities who are suffering from eating disorders MAY be skeletons and look unhealthy, but other than that their hair, their clothes, their teeth, and their nails look perfect?

Why do people have such hatred for Kate Moss?

DANG! I ve heard some disgusting things said about her... Our society seems to love when fat people say being fat is good but apparently skinny people can t say being thin is good? Okaaay. Why such hatred, is she secretly a Nazi or something? Does she rape people? Eat babies? What did she do to people that makes them hate her so much? o_O And no, you cant say she is ugly/a druggie/anorexic/etc because many stars you guys love have those things, and to HATE someone for having a mental disorder like anorexia is... beyond horrible.

I also never found her ugly; people also seem to really be offended when someone is exotic-looking- you know, has a big nose, thick brows, far-apart eyes, long face, etc. Wow, what a tolerant, progressive society we are when people who don t fit our personal standards of beauty are treated like dog crap.

I m not even a fan of her and I m quite disgusted by how people will dehumanize models and thin girls in general, and of course just celebrities because they can get away with it like cowards.

So I m curious, why do you think people treat her like a KKK member?

Answer :
Some models are anorexic, drugs are rife in the industry. I don t think that Kate is anorexic, she is naturally thin so I don t like to blame the current thin trend on her. But it annoys me whenever celebrities get off lightly with convictions. I hope she s settled down now.

On the whole, supermodels I think get paid way too much for being mannequins. What s the talent and what else has she done? Played tambourine on some rock star albums? Anyhow, Kate has been controversial ever since she started.

Is it normal to be obsessed with, like, thinsperation pictures and stuff?

I don t starve myself or anything but I did a project on thinspo s effect on eating disorders (for my AP psych class) and whether the government should get involved and shut those sites down and stuff! So like, I got into some pro ana websites and saw some pictures and I realized, how gorgeous those people are! I m not talking your average Kate Moss or celebrity or whatever! I mean real, like skin and bones type stuff that most people call disgusting! After that project, I must admit I m sort of hooked! I wish I was that beautiful! :)
Is it like normal? Is something wrong with me? I really don t want an eating disorder, so....
